Mirabelle Inn Luxury Boutique Hotel in Solvang, CA
Mirabelle’s classic Northern European, Renaissance-style featuring a “half-timbered” architecture greets arriving guests with waving Danish, French, and American flags atop its towering front. Once inside, the magical Inn welcomes guests with a dramatically soaring lobby – an interior reminiscent of a Kransekage, the traditional, festively-trimmed, tiered Danish marzipan cake. Flanking the lobby is the Inn’s highly-rated FIRST & OAK restaurant, and the Fireside Room, a serene, guest breakfast room that, by dusk, provides additional seating for dining patrons.
Overlooking the lobby from above are twelve pristine, exquisitely-appointed guest suites, strung like pearls over multiple split stories … but with the convenience of an elevator! Some include whirlpool tubs, most offer romantic gas-lit fireplaces, all provide a Samsung flat screen Smart TV, complimentary wireless Internet and in-room robes & slippers. An inviting guest library and Wine Lounge is located on the 3rd floor, boasting a warm hearth and solitude. Polished with crystal chandeliers and skylights throughout, this fanciful Inn glows like a light-drenched jewel box.
Little Denmark
A mere 35 miles north of Santa Barbara, this popular jewel-like inn is nestled within the charming Danish Village of Solvang — California’s “Little Denmark” –, a celebrated, century-old tourist destination located along US Highway 101, two hours north of Los Angeles and four hours south of San Francisco. Orbitz Worldwide Travel calls Solvang “One of the Top 5 US Domestic Destinations with International Flair!” Hosting Denmark vacations that require no passport, Solvang was named in 2014 by Trivago as one of the best “Hidden European Towns in America.”
Visiting Solvang is like visiting Denmark! It’s charm is enhanced by an authentic appearance: the architecture of the buildings, signage, windmills, Danish pastry shops and restaurants, employees dressed in authentic Danish traditional garb, and real live Danes that settled this area in the early 20th century. This is a true Danish settlement of authentication and charm. Solvang is a year round destination with great food, hotels, wineries, shops and cultural venues.
